Routine is performed by Said Mouhssine, who specialises in free-running (athletic street acrobatics) and circus. It is an acrobatic comedy show suitable for audiences of all ages from 5 years, and tells the story of a person stuck in a room, with nothing to do. Sleeping is a fight against boredom but no matter what he does, he can’t even sleep. Routine is about hope and pushing personal boundaries in order to bring about change.

In 2021, Crying Out Loud toured Routine as part of its rural touring pilot in South West England, Circus Around and About in partnership with Take Art and supported by Arts Council England.

In 2022, we toured Routine as part of Crossing Borders, a European partnership of eleven organisations from eight countries and supported by Perform Europe.
