– To change cultural perception
The Cultural Collective will be a key partner in the Portsmouth Creates sector growth strategy supporting the creative economy and community engagement.
Local Cultural Education Partnerships (LCEPs)
LCEPs support children and young people to fulfil their creative potential and access high-quality cultural experiences where they live, where they go to school, and where they spend their free time. Partners come together from across sectors, responding to local needs and interests, to drive a more joined-up cultural education offer, share resources, and improve the visibility of cultural education in their local area.
LCEPs COL are part of in the Solent are Portsmouth Cultural Education Partnership (PCEP), Isle of Wight Cultural Education Partnership (IWCEP) and Hampshire Cultural Education Partnership (HCEP)
We are also working in collaboration with the Sustainable Conservation Trust (SCT) a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation and use of historic structures. It is their vision that every asset within the historic built environment be permanently preserved in sustainable, productive use for the benefit of the community. Crying Out Loud both shares a studio space with SCT at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard and shares their enthusiasm in the potential of the Solent’s incredible historic infrastructure to be celebrated as inspiration, creation and presentation spaces for use by artists with a passion for visual theatre and/or interdisciplinary work.
