Be part of something big in Fratton this June and take part in Insane - a contemporary, large-scale outdoor performance.

You are invited to step forward and sign up below to take part in a mesmerising large-scale live performance this summer, in celebration of Portsmouth’s centenary.

We are looking for 60 local people aged 16+  to join an unforgettable community cast in a performance of Insane - a striking contemporary piece created by internationally acclaimed Šeiko Dance Company”.

Inspired by ritual and collective energy, Insane brings together international artists and the local community, creating a shared creative experience that reflects the diversity of Portsmouth and the power of people coming together through movement. You don’t need any experience, just a willingness to give it a go. Taking part is a chance to work with international artists and meet new people while being part of something that brings the community together in a meaningful and memorable way, being part of a collaborative ensemble and creative process.

You will take part in up to 8 x 2 hour relaxed and supportive rehearsals between 11–20 June (exact schedule tbc) leading up to two 60-minute live performances on the day.

This will be performed on Sunday 21 June 2026 at St Mary’s Churchyard, the performance is part of 432 Fratton, a lively day of free activity featuring performances, community events and the annual Inspiring Fratton Awards.
432 Fratton forms part of The Point Is Portsmouth, a city-wide programme by Crying Out Loud celebrating Portsmouth100, for more information –
