Our latest newsletter looks at our activity so far this year.
In February we took circus and hip hop into Isle of Wight schools for the “Future Creative” careers week organised by the IoW Cultural Education Partnership. Working with Solent artists Sasha Biloshisky, Beau Wheeler and Thorne Bailey, as well as other creative industry professionals, the events provided a far reaching programme to motivate young people to engage with creative careers.
We have Co-commissioned Head Over Wheels, an integrated trio of disabled and non-disabled performers pushing the boundaries of circus. Their show Anchored in Air has dates available for outdoor festivals this summer.
Our Circus Around and About 2 spring tour begins this March at venues in rural Somerset and Gloucester with a show from Max Calaf Sevé, a Catalan circus artist.
And finally we pay tribute to Emma Gladstone who was co-director of Crying Out Loud from 2003 to 2005.
