Do you remember when, one night in 2012, angels paid London an unannounced visit? Place des Anges. by French company Les Studios de Cirque was the climax of a remarkable day of performances programmed by Crying Out Loud as part of the London 2012 festival, which wittily transformed Piccadilly Circus and the surrounding streets into a real circus.

If you missed it, head to Hull on 02 July when, in Queens Gardens from 9.45pm, a band of glittering winged figures high above the crowd will create a storm of feathers in the sky.
