Known for his expertise in various dance styles, including Bboying, House, Hip-Hop, and Popping, Sasha is a member of the Floor Crusaders crew and has toured internationally with the ‘UPG Team,’ co-founding ‘Performance Parkour (2PK)’ during his 8-year tenure.

Sasha has collaborated with artists like Sean Paul, Kylie Minogue, and Boy George, choreographed shows at renowned festivals, including Glastonbury, and performed at the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony and in the West End production of ‘Daddy Cool.’

Sasha is also a founder of Funk Format, using urban dance and performance parkour to empower disadvantaged youth, supported by various organisations. Sasha is dedicated to preserving street dance foundations and educating dancers worldwide, offering workshops and bookings globally. He’s a lecturer at the Street Dance Teacher Diploma programme and a consultant for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.

Sasha founded the Rawkus City Hip-Hop Festival in Portsmouth in 2024, celebrating culture and creativity with Breaking battles, professional performances, and workshops. The festival connects artists and builds community through collaboration. He also launched the Movement Artists Network to support artists across disciplines.

Crying out loud and Sasha Biloshisky since 2022

Our Artistic Director Rachel first met Sasha during the Funk Format Laser Interactive project, which combined lasers and physical movement to project participant silhouettes onto Portsmouth’s Chalk Cliffs as part of the Portsmouth Creates 2022 We Shine programme. Since then, Rachel and our Solent Programme Producer Lucy have collaborated with Sasha on various initiatives, including performance projects, artist development opportunities and the testing of new international collaborations.
