Tabac Rouge nominated for an Olivier Award

We are delighted that Tabac Rouge by James Thiérrée/Compagnie du Hanneton has been nominated for an Olivier Award in the Best New Dance Production category. Tabac Rouge was co-presented by Crying Out Loud at Sadler’s Wells in March 2014. The Times described it as ‘a beautiful beast of a show.’ The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Royal Opera House hosted by Lenny Henry on 12th April.

Crying Out Loud has long been associated with James Thiérrée and Compagnie du Hanneton helping to build his reputation on the international circuit before his work gained awareness in France. We introduced James to the UK in 2000 when we presented Junebug Symphony at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Subsequently, Crying Out Loud has played a significant role in presenting and co-commissioning his work in collaboration with Sadler’s Wells and the Barbican in London and abroad.
