A week of exchanging skills and learning new tricks.
What a success! Pirates of the Carabina, masters of aerial, spent a fantastic week in residency with Far From The Norm, masters of experimental hip hop theatre.
The two companies – working together at the wonderful Invisible Circus Creation Space – spent a week exchanging skills and teaching each other their own tricks. Unknown muscles were engaged. There was pain! Far From the Norm were in awe of the Pirates’ core strength, and in turn they were in admiration of their phenomenal lower body stamina. With both companies possessing the desire to push boundaries, it’s a meeting of minds. The apparatus on offer included Chinese pole, wall running, flying, counterweighting, bungees, and rope.
