British Eccentricity!

British Eccentricity! An evening of the wonderful and the weird.

The best and newest British artists working on the edge of the new wave of vintage circus.

The high priestess of circus wonders, Marisa Carnesky, invites you on a dreamlike journey through the tarot pack. Find your way through the living cards, engage with their rituals and marvel at their mystifying beauty. A live art-rock band accompanies this extraordinary montage of live art, symbolism and performance.

Afterwards, a gaudy cocktail of grotesque caricatures takes over the space at a breathtaking height. Haunted by old films and live musical scores, Invisible Circus creates a world where illuminations flicker, giving off a pale light, sick as the distant stars that look on in sympathy. Flying dancers and objects on fire show you the way through the walls of Cirque Jules Verne.

British Eccentricity!  is a site specific promenade; comical, quirky and fun. If you thought the English were only about cups of tea and roast beef, think again. This evening will change your mind forever.
