Associate artist Iona Kewney is in residency at the Zodiak Centre for New Dance in Helsinki until 31 July creating ideas for a new show.

Founded in 1997, Zodiak is a progressive dance organisation and Finland’s most significant contemporary dance production house with two stages and studios at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. It hosts artists and provides a collegial platform for artistic activities. For the audience, it offers a versatile repertoire of current contemporary dance, artists, courses, discussions and events.

Iona, an Associate Artist at Crying Out Loud, last performed in the UK at the London International Mime Festival.  Dorothy Max Prior, reviewing the show Black Regent in Total Theatre wrote; ‘Iona is awesome – there’s no denying it. Her physical, visceral, shamanic performance is an extraordinary blend of contemporary circus and radical dance.’
