Inside is an immersive and participatory exhibition exploring what home means through the stories, histories and lived experiences of people with learning disabilities in Portsmouth. Through artworks, storytelling and shared spaces, it invites audiences to reflect on belonging, identity and community.

Created by This New Ground alongside commissioned artists Nathan Wong and Orlando Richardson, the exhibition centres lived experience and collaborative creative practice. Visitors are encouraged not only to view the work, but to listen, reflect and engage with the voices at its heart.

Blending sound, images and everyday objects, Inside invites audiences to slow down, listen closely and, at moments, step into another person’s perspective. The exhibition opens space for voices to reshape the city’s story from their own viewpoint, asking where we belong, how we make place, and what it means to be seen, heard and at home.
