Crying Out Loud are delighted to be returning to the Future Creatives Careers Week on the Isle of Wight in February 2026.
Led by Creative Island and the Isle of Wight Cultural Education Partnership, this island-wide programme connects primary, secondary and post-16 pupils with artists and creative professionals, offering insight into the breadth of careers within the creative industries.
As part of the programme, Crying Out Loud will deliver a series of artist-led careers sessions across multiple schools. The sessions will be led by Solent-based artists Sasha Biloshisky and Anna Harriott, supported by Crying Out Loud.
Life in Visual Storytelling and Performance is an interactive careers session that introduces young people to creative pathways within visual and physical theatre. Students meet professional artists, explore real career journeys, watch short films and behind-the-scenes material, and take part in discussion and light interactive activities.
The session focuses on careers, skills and pathways, rather than performance technique, and explores the wide range of creative, technical and organisational roles involved in making work. Content is adapted to suit each age group, encouraging students to reflect on their own interests, strengths and possible creative futures.
