Daring to be different at a time when work for the young was seen to be secondary, Crying Out Loud blazed a trail in new ways of thinking about contemporary performance for audiences of all ages. We believe that there is an audience for high quality visual theatre amongst all age groups and in all corners of the country.

Associate Artist Iona Kewney at LIMF

On 12 & 13 January Iona Kewney returns to London with Joseph Quimby as Knights of the Invisible at the London International Mime Festival (LIMF). They last performed in the city in 2013 at the Roundhouse in a collaboration with artist, Conrad Shawcross.

Raw egg was an unlikely theme running through Broadway shows this summer; in Cabaret, Sally Bowles, mixed them with Worcestershire sauce – a prairie oyster – and drank them for breakfast. In The Cripple of Inishmaan, Martin McDonagh’s black comedy about life in the Aran Islands in 1934, thirty six eggs were sacrificed per show….
