Circus Post is a series of 14 short films made by Crying Out Loud and film-maker Deborah May contextualising the development of contemporary circus over the past 40 years. The series was commissioned by The Space and Arts Council England in 2012 as part of the Cultural Olympiad.
8 of the films in the series feature in Circus Originals at Somerset House; an exhibition that is part of Circus Sampler – a celebration of 250 years since Philip and Patty Astley pioneered circus in London in 1768 which also features performance in the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court by Marawa the Amazing, Marawa’s Majorettes, Far From The Norm, Gandini Juggling and Circa Tsuica.
