Crying Out Loud is looking for volunteer ushers for Circus Sampler – two free weekends of contemporary circus, hip hop dance and music taking place at Somerset House 28 & 29 July and 4 & 5 August.

We are looking for enthusiastic, helpful and flexible individuals to form a front of house team during the event. As a volunteer usher you will make a valuable contribution to the audience’s experience; welcoming people, responding to queries and managing the movement of the audience during performances. You will work alongside Somerset House Visitor Experience Staff.

Ideally we would like people who can commit to one shift a day across both Circus Sampler weekends.The shifts are from either 9am – 4pm or 11am – 6pm on 28 & 29 July and 4 & 5 August. We’ll provide you with lunch, you will be given plenty of breaks, and we’ll cover reasonable travel expenses within TfL zones 1 – 6.

In addition you’ll gain valuable experience of working in an arts environment at a high profile event at a prestigious London heritage site. You’ll meet new people and be doing something productive with your time!
