Paid opportunity for circus and street dance artists

We have a paid opportunity for 9 early career circus and street dance artists with a strong knowledge of circus and street dance, or just one of those disciplines, to take part in an international hip hop dance/circus production.

Union Black  by Far From The Norm is a new show which explores football culture and politics through the lens of hip hop dance and circus. It is being created in partnership with Far From The Norm, Crying Out Loud, Subtopia (Sweden), Cork Midsummer Festival (Ireland) and Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde (France).

There have already been two R&D periods in France and Sweden and we are looking for artists to join the company for the London performances in summer 2018.

Early career artists with:

-Experience in portable circus skills such as acrobatics, Cyr Wheel, Chinese Pole, Teeterboard and juggling

-A strong interest in and experience of street styles, B-boying or parkour

-A strong sense of rhythm and musical interpretation within their craft

-Experience of working as a team – we are looking for natural collaborators

We encourage and welcome women and artists of non-binary gender identity to apply. The artists would ideally live in or close to London.
