Please help Dave Toole, a professional disabled dancer with 20 years experience, raise funds for a Power Assist for his wheelchair.
You may recognise Dave from his solo performance at the 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony. He has also worked with DV8 and regular collaborates with Stopgap Dance Company, who last year worked with Collectif Prêt-a-Porter to develop the hand to hand skills of their company members in a residency funded by PASS, and programmed by Crying Out Loud.
The Power Assist would help Dave travel around more easily; he could drop down curbs, wheel up hills, power through grass and cobbles and not be at the mercy of his access workers! It would also take the pressure off his arms and help him continue his dance career for decades to come.
Stopgap Dance Company are leading the fundraising campaign but they do not have the funds to pay for the Power Drive. Please help by giving whatever you can.
