Louiseanne explores their struggle with social norms, displacement of home, unlearning how they were ‘conditioned’ in Hong Kong. Louiseanne Pui Chi Wong 黃珮芝 in association with Crying Out Loud is part of the Arteries programme with Forgotten Angle Collective, with a workshop on 13 March and a work-in-progress performance on 15 March.

The My Body My Space Festival returns for its 10th year, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative. This is transformative experience is happening from 10-15 March in rural Mpumalanga’s Emakhazeni local municipality.

“Art breaks boundaries, challenges conventions, and brings communities together – we’ll be showcasing performances that celebrate democracy, human rights, and creative excellence. With a women-led curatorial team and strong representation from youth and people with disabilities, this festival is all about empowerment and social change. This physical workshop focuses on listening to and re-appropriating the environment, reclaiming autonomy, expanding movement vocabulary, and falling with Esprit Concrete inspirations.
Krump: Is life. This expressive dance stems from hip-hop, and began as a refuge for those forgotten by society in LA in the 2000s.
Parkour: Originates from France’s l’art du deplacement by Yamakasi in the 1980s.
